France

I am busy getting everything prepared for my workshop in France. I leave on Sunday. I am really looking forward to this group of students..many I know and some I will meet for the first time. We are spending 3 days in Paris and then south into Dufort. Most of us plan on combing the flea markets. We found some wonderful things last time I was in Paris. One of my very favorites is a journal from a French World War I prisoner. He was prisoned in Germany and gave a daily account of his life through words, beautiful pencil drawings, songs and poetry. I also mailed home bags and bags of metal found objects.

We are working on a figurative theme. I thought the France and Seatle workshop would be perfect for this. There is a wealth of interesting people just roaming the city. We can photograph journal thenbuild characters. Last visit to France I used a color scheme of pink for a very long time. Guess I was feeling like a girl! I'll post soem of the characters that i photograped whe I return...... au voir
